Hey! I’m Anup, an abstract artist from the Water Winter Wonderland of USA, Michigan!!!

My paintings are mostly inspired by landscapes and establish a link between the landscape’s reality and that imagined by its conceiver. By exploring the concepts of nature in a nostalgic way, I create intense personal moments masterfully by means of rules and omissions, acceptance and refusal, luring the viewer round and round in circles.

My work doesn’t reference recognizable forms. The results are deconstructed to the extent that meaning is shifted and possible interpretation becomes multifaceted. By applying abstraction, I investigate the dynamics of landscapes, including the manipulation of their effects and the limits of spectacle based on my assumption of what landscape means to me. Rather than presenting a reality, I create an illusion and let the viewers have their own imagination and interpretation.
